Interview about shopping:

I am going to ask 3 people 5 questions about shopping. And then I will give my personal opinion about shopping.

The people that I will interview are the following:

-         My sister, Tala Ghorayeb

-         My best friend, Faidia Abou Saleh

-         My mother

The questions that will be asked are the following:

1-   How often do you go shopping?

2-   What kind of shopping do you enjoy the most (groceries, clothes…)?

3-   Why do you love shopping?

4-   Describe shopping in two words. Why?

5-   Are you addicted to shopping (are you a shopaholic?)?

First let’s start with Tala Ghorayeb:

1-   I go shopping 2 times per week.

2-   I enjoy going shopping for clothes the most.

3-   I love shopping because I dressing differently every day and I love following the trend.

4-    Emotional release. Because when I shop I forget all my issues and release every emotion (anger, sadness, joy…).

5-    Yes, I am a shopaholic.

Now, let’s continue our interview with Fadia Abou Saleh:

1-   I go twice every 3 months.

2-   I prefer going shopping for clothes the most.

3-   I don’t really like going shopping because I’m too lazy to go to the store and shop.

4-   Emotional release. Because the things that are in the shop and which I like will finally be mine.

5-   No, I’m not a shopaholic.

Right now, we will ask these questions to my mother, Maya:

1-   I go shopping 4 times a week.

2-   I enjoy going groceries shopping but I prefer clothes shopping the most.

3-   I love shopping because I like to dress up nicely every day and I don’t have anything in my schedule so shopping helps me pass the time.

4-   Stress release. Because I am always stressed over everything so when I go shopping the joy of having new things makes me forget about the stress I feel.

5-   I am obsessed about shopping so I am obviously a shopaholic.

Personal opinion:

Personally, I don’t like shopping. Shopping has good aspects like spending time, renewing our closet…. But for me it is not the best thing to do to spend time, we can read for example. In addition, it’s a waste of money and time.

Shopping is to buy products or services like food,clothes... There is also online shopping which is buying products over the internet. For most people,shopping is a way of spending time and some are addicted to shopping,they are  called shopaholics. Most of the customers go window shopping without buying anything; they just  see the products and they come a next time and spend a short period of time doing shopping.

SN sites have a lot of positive aspects such as making new friends by chatting or videocalling. They are also useful for events, if you want to invite a friend to a party you can invite him/her by sending a message.But SN sites have also some negative aspects. They don't allow enough  privacy, and some people may act like they are your friend by using their name but actually they are hackers. 

Do you think the mobile phone is a useful invention?

In my opinion,the mobile phone is a useful invention that lets you chat with all the people around the world in the fastest way, and call them wherever you are.

What is shopping?

Shopping is the purchasing of goods from stores.You can go shopping for food , clothes and household goods. There are lots of people who think that shopping is an entertaining way to spend your day , while others  shop online, Unfortunately, Some people are addicted to shopping and can't stop themselves , They are called shopaholics. Others go shopping usually for useless things believing that it will make them feel better , it's shopping therapy. Nowadays , we hear  some people saying : " that's a rip-off " , they actually mean that something is too expensive for what it is ,the price doesn't reflect the value it has . Or we hear: " that's a killer deal !" which means that something of high value has a great  low price. I honestly think that shopping is entertaining, You can go twice a month  and get everything you need and wish to buy .In addition you can go window shopping to spend your time by looking at the items and products without intending to buy anything.

Children Cancer Center of Lebanon If I was to give a charity donation it would definitely be to CCCL (Children Cancer Center of Lebanon) Cancer is a malignant and life threatening disease. Nowadays cancer is spreading more and more and we see more cases of children suffering from it. Cancer has no logical explainable cause and it could attack any of us anytime. The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is a not-for-profit association for the treatment of children with cancer. CCCL works in close coordination with the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). Children at CCCL are treated free of charge, with no cost at all on their parents. Therefore, CCCL relies purely on donations. Children at the CCCL are admitted regardless of race, sex, ethnicity, religion or nationality. Since April 2002, the CCCL treated, to date, more than 1200 children with cancer; from Lebanon and the Region. Cure rate for patients at CCCL is an amazing 80%; which means that it is providing hope and a healthy future for sick children In addition to this, a Child life department at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is created to help children and their families navigate the emotionally and physically challenging process of coping with cancer. This department provide support during medical procedures. It helps children develop strategies such as imagery, distraction and relaxation to reduce anxiety (example: Play rooms, art therapy, storytelling, clowning program, visits from community groups and celebrities.). It also provides school teachers who are professional experienced teachers with certified degrees in different aspects of education. They coordinate with each child's school to ensure class requirements are met while the child is in the hospital. Therefore, in my opinion CCCL is an association that is worth every penny of donation given since it is giving a sparkle of hope for every child suffering from cancer. What are the advantages and disadvantages od Social Networking sites?

1. The advantages and disadvantage of SN sites: SN sites can be very useful because you can find old friends and they let you keep updated on any news. You can also attach photos or videos.
 But in fact, SN sites have also disadvantages . They can send spam or a virus or even you can be cyberbullied. Also, you can’t have privacy.

In your opinion is the mobile phone a useful invention?

 2. The mobile phone a useful invention: Nowadays mobile phones are very developed and very useful. Everybody uses them for different reasons ;for example  for business, in case of emergency, studies, etc. Even kids and students use them.

In my opinion going shopping is an experience that everyone should try but they shouldn't go cross the limits. For example, people get easily addicted to shopping, which leads to spending a huge amount of money on useless stuff. However ,shopping is considered as a pastime or even a therapy for some people. Shopping could also result in meeting new people ..

Shopping is an activity in which a customer browses the available goods or services presented by one or more retailers with the intent to purchase a suitable selection of them.
For most people, it means some new clothes for work . For others, however, shopping is much more than an enjoyable pastime, and in some cases, it is a real and destructive addiction that can turn into a financial disaster.For the first time, consumers say they bought more of their purchases on the web than in stores. It surely helps a person to make the best choice keeping in mind the latest trends and offerings and I think that it is a great way to spend time.

If you could help a charity, which charity would you help and why?

How would you help the charity?

I think that if I could help a charity I would choose the Children’s Cancer Center in Lebanon.This charity was founded in 2002

The charity helps the children by giving them some treatments to fight cancer such as chemotherapy ,or other medications.

 I think that was a great idea to have founded this charity which takes care of those children.Unfortunately, those small patients don't enjoy life as they wish(playing some games...) .Instead of enjoying their chilhood   and doing some exciting games and activities ,they are isolated from the rest of the world.I really sympathize with these children.

I would help the charity by doing some galas, spread some awareness postesr   all over Lebanon so that people can  react and help the charity .Little  donations can help the charity provide necessary treatments to cure children.. I'm ready to earn some money to save children's lives
